Manager Business Development

Job Summary The Business Development (BD) Manager will provide vision and leadership to strategically position NPS to gain market share as a provider of system level solutions that leverage our technical and production competencies. The Business Development Manager will support the Power Line Of Business (LOB), with majority resources in the Milwaukee and Menomonee Falls locations. The focus for this BD manager will be on identifying and winning system level defense contracts by developing new and expanding existing customer relationships with domestic and international defense and marine OEMs and organizations. This position will report directly to the Business Development Director of Power and support various LOBs, with strong interaction across multiple DRS Naval Power Systems operational sites, including Fitchburg, MA; Milwaukee, WI; Danbury, CT; and High Ridge, MO. Job Responsibilities o Develop and execute business development plans to support the Company's short and long-term strategic plan to meet or exceed their Bookings forecast under the direction of senior leadership o Support captures database for tactical and strategic plans o Develop and communicating win themes, and ensure proposals are complete and approved in a timely manner. o Support the accuracy and achievement of their Bookings Forecast and Plan o Visit prospective, new, and existing customers on a regular basis o Perform competitive market analysis. Monitor competitive activity and identify customer needs o Formulate and exercise marketing plans and programs, both short and long range to ensure achievement of financial objectives, and products and services innovation o Support and monitor Bid and Proposal and Internal Research and Development budgets o Assist in the development of the planning, designing and implementing of business plans, such as, capture plans, proposal activities o Recommend system level technical solutions by analyzing the changing needs of the market, identifying and anticipating trends, and evaluating options o Identify, recommend and develop strategic alliances, acquisitions and/or other external business relationships o Work closely with other departments and/or functions (e.g. Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.) to coordinate customer activities, and market strategies o Attend trade shows and make presentations on Company portfolio of products and services Qualifications Bachelor's degree in marketing or engineering or related discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience 5
years of related experience Knowledge and demonstrated track record in identifying and developing markets, new business wins, growing existing business within the defense industry Strong planning, organization, time management skills Strong interpersonal verbal, written, and presentation skills Demonstrated collaborative attitude and indirect leadership skills Proven experience in effective and successful negotiations Understanding of US Contracting and budgeting processes Advanced knowledge of company markets, products, and technology Results oriented, sales mentality Significant Travel (e.g. >25%) US citizenship required Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance Additional Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Familiarity with US Navy programs, shipyards and acquisition process. Familiarity with International navy programs, shipyards and acquisition process. Familiarity with military design specifications
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business DevelopmentEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
