Job Description:
The Quality Analyst's primary role is to ensure daily operational activities that ensure supplier products meet quality standards, gather data, run reports, and assist with problem-solving.
The analyst makes suggestions for improving products and processes to reduce or eliminate defects based on the findings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Supplier Quality Improvement Work with suppliers, plant quality engineers and cross-functional departments to identify root causes and ensure robust corrective actions are implemented.
Create and track Quality Notifications for suppliers.
Facilitate supplier RMA's and the disposition of nonconforming goods.
Track rework and production costs to facilitate cost recovery for supplier defects and line interruptions.
Schedule and coordinate activities for onsite supplier rework as appropriate.
Use PDCA problem-solving tools to facilitate Quality/Process improvement.
Analytics Prepare, develop, update, and monitor KPI data requirements for plant quality and supplier quality.
Assist in process improvement projects to improve KPIs.
Produce and analyze data to identify and recommend process improvements.
Safety:
Performs all job functions is a safe manner and maintains safety awareness.
Reports known accidents, injuries, and unsafe practices and/or conditions to supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in Quality or a related field is required.
3 years as a business or quality analyst is required.
Green Belt Certification is preferred.
Proven track record of developing and implementing process improvements.
Detail-oriented and analytical, persistent, and willing to work through complex issues.
Strong problem-solving skills with statistical analysis preferred.
The ability to communicate orally and in writing to people with varying backgrounds.
Proficient computer skills including Word, Excel, SAP, and Access.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND/OR WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
The employee is occasionally required to walk; sit; climb or balance; talk or hear.
Must be able to lift and/or move 25 lbs.
And occasionally up to 40 lbs.
